Traditions

Though Billy and Challice likely have traditions from their own families that they'd like to continue through holidays, birthdays, and everyday life, they probably would like to start some of their own as well.
In the comment section below, please share some holiday (or other) traditions that the couple could start in their new life together.

  1. Put up the Christmas tree together the day after Thanksgiving (or two days if you prefer). Its so nice to make a Christmas music playlist and spend the day putting up lights and decorations. Doing it this early gives you time to enjoy it all, since Christmas seems to be gone in the blink of an eye. Also, doing this with music and taking the day to do it makes it super relaxing and special, instead of just another thing to get done.

Another tradition my family always had was having cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning after we open presents.

  2. You should make cute traditions that are different...like...instead of gingerbread houses, decorate waffle cones into Christmas trees! Cute and much tastier than gingerbread kits haha.
Go to a drive thru light show every year!
My traditions always revolve around christmas time ;)

    1. I think I will try that waffle cone idea, but first I need to make a gingerbread house haha. Every year, Billy and I planned to make one but never did. We WILL make one!

Yes, I love the light shows and everything about Christmas decorations! Team Christmas!

    2. Cute idea, Bri. You could actually do both. Create a little village with houses AND trees :)

I can't think of a better way to spend a winter night, than snuggled up with cocoa watching Christmas movies :)

  8. Our family always takes the opportunity to honor each person on their birthday. We try to get together as a family if we can, make a special meal (because we all like to eat), cake or dessert that that person enjoys and spend special time together as a family. It's a celebration of what that person means to your family.

  9. I love that. I've always felt that a person's birthday is a day to make them feel super special and appreciated and would love to make that a tradition in my own little family :) Thanks Angie!
